What's documented
At approximately 18:15 local time on 8 January 2008, residents of Stephenville and the surrounding Erath County reported a large, silent object with bright lights flying low over the area. Witnesses included Steve Allen, a private pilot and freight company owner; Erath County constable Lee Roy Gaitan; and Stephenville businessman Ricky Sorrells. The Air Force initially denied any aircraft activity in the area, then on 23 January 2008 reversed and stated that ten F-16s from the 457th Fighter Squadron at Naval Air Station Fort Worth Joint Reserve Base had been conducting training exercises that night. MUFON investigator Robert Powell obtained FAA radar data via FOIA showing an unidentified track moving toward the Western White House (the Bush ranch in Crawford, Texas) at high speed without a transponder return.
