Westall Incident (6 April 1966) under-corroborated
During mid-morning recess on 6 April 1966, more than 200 students and
staff at two adjoining schools in suburban Melbourne watched a silver
disc-shaped object descend over the grounds, briefly settle in a nearby
reserve, and depart to the northwest, leaving a ring of flattened grass.
The RAAF came to the school the same day; its file has never surfaced.
Westall is the largest mass UFO sighting in Australian history and the
corpus's purest large-N daylight case: not lights at night but a
structured object observed in full daylight by hundreds of named
witnesses at close range, with a physical ground trace and an immediate
official response. Its evidence is human rather than instrumental — which
