On the morning of 10 May 1978, near Emilcin in eastern Poland, 71-year-old
farmer Jan Wolski reported that two small green-faced humanoids boarded his
horse-drawn cart, led him to a hovering bus-shaped craft, lifted him aboard on a
platform, undressed and examined him, then released him unharmed — the first and
most famous alleged UFO abduction in Polish history, commemorated by a rare 2005
roadside monument.
Emilcin is the canonical Polish/Eastern-European abduction case — occurring
inside the communist bloc in 1978, in a rural setting with minimal Western
UFO-media saturation. It adds Eastern-European breadth to the abduction lineage
alongside Villas Boas (Brazil), Betty & Barney Hill (USA), and Meng Zhaoguo
(China). The abductee profile is unusual and analytically valuable: an elderly,
