The Min Min light is a famous recurring ‘ghost light’ of the Channel Country near Boulia, described consistently as a fuzzy, often disc-shaped glow hovering above the horizon at night that appears to follow, pace, or recede from travelers and vanish when chased. Its popular origin story (a light over the burned Min Min Hotel graveyard, ~1918) is folklore, and Aboriginal traditions long framed the lights as ancestral spirits.
